Malibu resident Albert Sweet was awarded an honorary doctorate at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology on June 16. Sweet was honored for his vision, creativity and commitment to Israel and the Technion that has spanned several decades.
The local philanthropist is a Technion Guardian, a title given to those who support the university at the highest level. He has created the Albert Sweet Scholarship Fund that provides financial support for undergraduate and graduate students at the university.
The ceremony took place at the campus in Haifa.
