Lane Closures Slated For Bike Route Project in West Malibu

As construction gets under way for a bike lane improvement project in western Malibu, the city is planning periodic lane closures and delays on Morning View Drive and Pacific Coast Highway from July 7 through August 19.

The PCH Bike Route Improvement Project includes the addition of a dedicated right turn lane onto Morning View Drive, which will relocate the bus stop. Drainage and sidewalk improvements are also planned.  

The second phase of the project begins after Labor Day and the project should be completed sometime in the fall.

Other improvements include installing a bike lane in the Zuma Beach area, bike route improvements from Busch Drive to the western city limits and improving the Trancas Canyon Road intersection at PCH.
