    ——

The C H P and LA County sheriff’s office both say … their officers were not involved …. in what drivers described as a law enforcement takeover of PCH this morning … for an exotic car photo shoot.

Traffic on both sides of P C H was blocked at Nobu … according to witnesses … for up to 15 minutes this morning … at the peak of the morning rush hour.

The C H P suspects it was private motorcycle club members … who moonlight as funeral escort bikers.

They looked like cops … but weren’t.

They were apparenrly escorting a group of Ferrari owners  … called the Italian Stampede.

    Good news.

This testosterone-deficient motorcade was last seen … racing up the highway to Monterey.

The C H P is asking … if anyone has dashcam video … or other pictures … contact them at the C H P Woodland Hills office … (818) 888-0980 …. we have the phone number on the KBUU web pages.

    In other Malibu news:

Today is the first day of school for the Santa Monica Malibu unified school district.

    School buses will be running.

The school district will station an extra employee at the back of every bus … to make sure all the kids are unloaded.

A new state law requires electronic devices for bus drivers to check in with … a the back of every school bus … to prevent the rare tragedies in which kids are left in buses accidentally.

The district cannot get the devices yet … so until then … it’s two adults per bus.

Things will be a little bit more chaotic than usual around Webster elementary school … where the parking lot is not quite finished.

All five city council candidates have been invited … as is the general public … to the candidates forum Friday night.

The red ladder Gallery is next door to chipotle … near what used to be Melo’s movie theater … in downtown Malibu.

The Malibu Film Society has added a weekend movie … a sneak peak before it opens in theaters nationwide.

Saturday night … “Operation Finale” will be shown at the Malibu Screening Room.

It’s the fact-based story of how operatives from the Israeli Shin Bet intelligence agency tracked and captured Adolf Eichmann.

The Nazi racist was hiding in Argentina, the Israelis smuggled him back to stand trial in Israel.

Eichman is portrayed by Sir Ben Kingsley.

The movie won’t open in theaters until next week, but you can see it first — right here in Malibu, this Saturday night.
