The California Wildlife Center rescued a Royal Tern tangled in a plastic sandwich bag from Malibu’s Westward Beach on Monday, according to a post on the CWC’s Facebook.
The CWC also included a reminder about keeping beaches trash-free.
“Make sure to always pick up after yourself no matter where you are, and pick up one piece of trash that isn’t yours,” CWC staff member Jeff Hall wrote on Facebook. “If everyone pays it forward just a little bit then we’ll see pristine beaches and no more wildlife entanglements!”
