Boys Basketball: The Malibu High School varsity basketball team went 0-2 last week. On Monday, the boys played against Saint Monica and lost by a score of 35-43. On Friday night, the boys played their first league game against Santa Paula. The Sharks fell in a tightly contested overtime battle that ended with a score of 46-51. This week, the boys will face off against two league opponents as they take on Bishop Diego and Villanova Prep.Â
Girls Basketball: The Malibu High School varsity girls basketball team went 1-1 in their games last week. The girls had a convincing win over Newroads on Wednesday but fell to Louisville in a 16-42 contest. This week, the girls face off against Santa Paula and Carpinteria in what should be two important league games.
Girls Soccer: The Malibu High School varsity girls soccer team did not have any games last week as they were preparing for their league schedule. This week, the girls will face off against last season’s league champion, Oaks Christian, as well as La Reina.Â
Girls Water Polo: Last week the Malibu High School girls water polo team began their league schedule with a 10-0 win against Villanova Prep. The girls then traveled to Arroyo Grande to participate in the annual Arroyo Grande Tournament. The team placed 4th out of 20 teams and recorded an impressive 7-6 win against Ventura High School, a Division 1 school. This week, the girls continue their league schedule with games against Oaks Christian and Nordhoff.
