I would like to publicly express my heartfelt thanks to Jonathan Friedman for his exceptional work at The Malibu Times these past six years. Jonathan stepped into the fray at a particularly incendiary time in our political life, managing to be both thorough and fair while maintaining excellent relationships with all political factions in the city. In a community as small and politically passionate as Malibu, that’s something of a small miracle. As both a fellow journalist and a frequent subject of Jonathan’s reporting, I can genuinely say that he did his profession and the city of Malibu very proud. Thank you, Jonathan, for helping make us a better city.
