her a line
For as long as I can remember I have been a customer of Wylie’s Bait shop on the highway just past Topanga. The same braineacks who took out our only quick stop market at the west end of town are now evicting the only Bait and Tackle shop along our section of coast. Ginny, who now runs Wylie’s, is a hard-working honest lady. She provides not only Bait and Tackle but tons of free advice and always has a smile for you. She is facing a 90 eviction order from the state and is in need of serious legal assistance. Anyone who knows Ginny also knows she would never ask for help, it’s not her style.
Whether you are pro fishing or not is really not the point here. The point is the state is evicting a person who has worked her entire life to provide a public service. One look at her prices and you can see she is not doing this for the money. Every time I stop by her shop she is directing tourists or giving fishing advice to a group of young kids. She is a rare commodity in this world we should all cherish. Surely somewhere here in Malibu there are some who will join me and stand up and fight for this kind, giving and loving woman. Please help her and you will be helping yourself and all the rest of us, too. Thanks,
Bill Barlow
