OLM School Learn About Compassion and Faith

Our Lady of Malibu School students with special guests Jim Gash and Henry Tumwesije

Our Lady of Malibu (OLM) School students and faculty were visited by Pepperdine University professor Jim Gash and Ugandan medical student Henry Tumwesije last week.

The visitors shared the story of Tumwesije’s unjust imprisonment as a juvenile and Gash’s journey to help free him. The story emphasized themes of compassion and faith in action that OLM School teachers strive to instill in their students.

“We were all inspired to see what God did with Jim’s willing spirit that stepped outside his comfort zone and Henry who showed tremendous faith, courage, and resourcefulness during his imprisonment,” an OLM representative said.
