In the race, then out of the race, and then back in! It was just a “bureaucratic hiccup.” When we heard we were cut from the race, just shy of 20 confirmed signatures, one of my steering committee members, David Thayne, went in and met with the city, looked at the signatures that were thrown out, and pointed out several were long-time resident voters that signed the nomination papers, several at Paradise Cove. Later that afternoon, my dad went in and seemed to help the city make sense of it all. It’s a gift to have my dad around!

The next two years are crucial in choosing the direction of Malibu, maintaining our rural character, safeguarding our environment and strengthening local schools. I am glad I don’t have to wait two more years to be a part of the decision making process.
