Gwen Stefani will light up the American Music Awards on Sunday.

Longtime local Dick Clark may not be with us anymore but his production company is still going strong. DCP will be in the director’s chair when the 2015 American Music Awards blow into town. Look for familiar Malibu faces like Gwen Stefani to take the stage at the Microsoft Theater downtown. Gwen Stefani will perform her hit song “Used to Love You.”

Gwen Stefani has achieved worldwide success as a performer, songwriter and recording artist, selling more than 30 million albums worldwide with No Doubt and as a multi-platinum solo artist. Stefani released two highly successful solo albums, “Love.Angel.Music.Baby” and “The Sweet Escape,” featuring hit singles “Rich Girl,” “Sweet Escape,” “What Are You Waiting For?” and “Hollaback Girl” — a No. 1 single she recorded with Pharrell Williams that became the first digital download to sell more than one million copies in the United States. With her debut as a coach for the seventh season of “The Voice” (produced by Malibu entertainment titan Mark Burnett), Stefani released “Baby Don’t Lie” and reunited with Pharell to release the high-energy collaboration “Spark The Fire.” In addition to her singing and songwriting career, Stefani is widely recognized as a trendsetter and accomplished designer within the fashion industry, launching several successful brands, including L.A.M.B., Harajuku Lovers, DWP and GX.

There’s also news that Ariana Grande will perform at the world’s biggest fan-voted award show. Red-hot Ariana makes the global television debut of her new single “Focus.”

AG performed for the first time on the AMA stage in 2013 and took home the title of new artist of the year. In 2014, she performed “Bang, Bang” with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj. She also hit a high note with a medley of her hit songs “Problem,” “Break Free” and “Love Me Harder,” joined by The Weeknd. This year, she is nominated in the categories of artist of the year and favorite female artist in the category of pop and rock.

Dynamic duo Ariana and Gwen join an impressive lineup, including Jennifer Lopez, 5 Seconds of Summer, Coldplay, Selena Gomez, Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, One Direction, Carrie Underwood and WALK THE MOON. Meghan Trainor and Charlie Puth, as well as Luke Bryan featuring Karen Fairchild of Little Big Town, will perform duets. The legendary “Star Wars” score will be performed by Pentatonix and a full symphony orchestra.

The 2015 American Music Awards will broadcast live this Sunday, Nov. 22, on ABC.
