Braden Mogler, a senior at Pepperdine University majoring in sports medicine with a minor in Spanish, will speak at the March 11 Malibu Rotary Club meeting at the university at 7:30 a.m.
The St. Paul Minnesota native won a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship to study in Uruguay for one year to provide medical care to Spanish-speaking populations that lack access to very basic healthcare.
The scholarships are part of the Rotary Foundation’s privately funded, international Ambassadorial scholarships program, whose purpose is to further international understanding and friendly relations among people of different countries and geographical areas.
