Hope Hesslen and B.J. Stillwell grab onto the skating train led by a fast-skating Pepperdine student last week at the university’s Winter Wonderland celebration. The school’s Joslyn Plaza was turned into an ice skating rink, while students played Christmas music and served funnel cakes, coffee and hot cocoa.Â
Pepperdine University held a Holiday Winter Wonderland on Thursday night. Students, faculty, families and those in the Malibu community laced up ice skates and hit the rink. Colorful lights lit falling snow while people skated and sipped hot chocolate. Christmas carols performed by students added to the festivities along with a wall to write your Christmas wish, “All I want for Christmas is…” Pepperdine University brought holiday cheer, warming the cold Malibu night.
Holding hands was the only way for many to keep from falling on the slippery ice skating rink.
