Paradise Cove Beach Cafe owner Bob Morris partnered with nonprofit School on Wheels to host the 16th annual holiday party at the beachfront Malibu property December 19.

The one-on-one tutoring and mentoring nonprofit services more than 3,500 homeless kids in the Southern California area on a weekly basis, and a little more than 200 of its students were bussed to Malibu for the holiday event — some for the first time.

The students were picked up from 14 surrounding homeless shelters — the farthest traveling from Pomona and Garden Grove — and brought to the beach to enjoy the fun-filled day of activities and food. With the help of the California Highway Patrol and LA County Fire Department, students were met with holiday presents and a surprise appearance from St. Nick.
