Malibu artist and activist Sandra Mueller was selected as the Women’s Caucus for Art (WCA) Events Director for the “Half the Sky: Intersections in Social Practice Art” cultural exchange and exhibition. The exhibition, which included a participatory installation by Mueller, opened at the LuXun Academy of Fine Art in Shenyang, China, on April 15. Her piece, “Points of Many Connection Dome,” was a collaboration effort created with artist Sherri Cornett of Billings, Mont.
The exhibition features installation, painting, performance, photography and more. WCA focuses on the statement “Women hold up half the sky,” and they hope to inspire people to explore social changes through art, education and social activism.
