The National Weather Service has extended its red flag warning for valleys and mountains of Los Angeles and Ventura counties on Thursday morning, Dec. 7. The warning is in place until 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, according to an alert from the City of Malibu.
A strong wind advisory has also been extended until 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 8.
Wind gusts are expected to hit anywhere between 50-70 m.p.h. over “wind-prone areas” of the counties; the gusts may go up to 80 m.p.h. in the mountains.Â
