Wow, all these slick, full-color, double-sided sob story pieces of literature in our mailboxes for Measure A. Not even printed on re-cycled paper! Congratulations, SMMUSD for hiring a great out-of-state market research company, and for hiring a great marketing/advertising company for thousands and thousands of dollars, so that you can try and tax homeowners, yet again, and continue your completely irresponsible behavior of no accountability and not living within a budget.
Why should school libraries be kept open? Are there no public libraries in both Santa Monica and Malibu? Why keep counselors, “who help students stay on track and prepare for college and careers?” What happened to parental responsibility? How about dismantling the militant unions? It’s time for the SMMUSD to stop living beyond its means. I wonder how long it will be before SMMUSD will be demanding another parcel tax on homeowners and yet another and another. Make no mistake, they will.
