One lane will be closed in each direction on Pacific Coast Highway, between Puerco Canyon and Corral Canyon roads, through Oct. 5 due to Caltrans construction. The closures will take place from 9 p.m. – 6 a.m.
The speed limit will be 40 miles per hour in the one-mile section due to its work zone status, according to a traffic advisory from the City of Malibu. All construction will be conducted weather permitting.
Caltrans crews will be working on a raised median island to bring it up to current standards. According to a released statement from Caltrans, the project is scheduled to be completed by late 2018 or early 2019.
