This may be your last opportunity to hear our City Council candidates before the April 8 elections. At the previous forums the candidates repeated themselves and answered the questions with similar policy stances. Therefore, we hope to spark more debate. We will give the candidates more time to introduce themselves and their visions for Malibu for the next 4 years. We are requesting the candidates to ask their own questions, directed to one another and we will be asking new questions.
Why are we losing access to our historic trails? Traffic in Malibu Park and the Morningview schools is becoming crazy. How can we head off this increasing problem?
The character of our neighborhood is forever changing with Seaview-like projects that ignore the rights of the community. How can the community object and be fairly heard by the Planning Commission?
Landscapes are unchecked. How can we educate our residents to the advantages of “green” landscaping?
Water issues go unchecked, causing continuously wet streets with foul runoff and waste from over watered lawns.
How do we keep our night skies with the increasing use of all-night outdoor lighting?
Join us, share in the discussion and express your concerns directly to our three future councilpersons. The date is Saturday, March 29, from 3 to 5 at the Malibu United Methodist Church.
