The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a wind advisory for Malibu and surrounding cities, effective today until 12 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect gusts up to 40 MPH through Tuesday morning, with sustained winds at 15 to 25 MPH.
The NWS recommends taking precautions while driving on all roads, including the PCH and 405 Freeway.
Driving on the mountains could pose an even greater danger. According to the NWS, “The strongest winds are expected from mid morning today through this evening. Wind gusts between 60 and 65 MPH are expected in the mountains of Ventura and Los Angeles Counties.”
