Former state senator Sheila Kuehl is running for Los Angeles County Supervisor, representing the county’s third district, in 2014. Kuehl aims to succeed supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky, who is termed out next year.
Kuehl, a democrat, served as a member of the California Legislature for 14 years and was termed out in 2008. She spent eight years on the Senate and six years in the Assembly. The county’s Third District includes Malibu, Santa Monica, Calabasas, and other nearby cities, portions of Los Angeles, and unincorporated areas.
