  • Make sure your browser’s cookies are enabled.
  • Make sure your member ID is unique. Failure to do this is by far the most frequent problem readers encounter when creating an account. The reason is that once a member ID has been created, it can’t be selected by another member. Thus, avoid using your first name, last name or a common word. Make your member ID unique. For example, combine your first name with your house number, your birthday, your favorite football player’s number, etc. For instance, instead of registering as Ralph, use Ralph1954. If you go through the registration process, click on Create Account and are returned back to the registration page, it’s very likely you are trying to use a member ID that someone has already selected.
  • You must provide information in all registration fields that are marked with an asterisk (*). If you do not, the registration process will not finish and you’ll be returned to the registration page.
  • You must provide accurate data on the registration page. We check new registrations at least once a week. Accounts that are using obscene or spurious information will be deleted.

If you’ve correctly set up your account according to these rules and you still can’t create a new account, please let us know by contacting webmaster@thepublicopinion.com
