City of Malibu Launches New Civic Center Design Standards Project

The City of Malibu will host a two-day open house event for the launch of a new Civic Center Design Standards Project to help establish the future vision of the Malibu Civic Center. 

In addition to the two-day event, a Design Standards Task Force and a “Notify-Me” e-notification list will be created.

The open house event will be hosted by the City Planning staff and the city’s consultant team, MIG, Inc. and will take place Oct. 17-18. It will feature interactive “topic stations,” guided and self-guided walking tours, interactive surveys, and a discussion forum. 

The City is now accepting applications for the Civic Center Design Standards Task Force, which is open to all Malibu residents, business and property owners, or other stakeholders. Those serving on another city commission are not eligible.
