Letter to the Editor

In response to “An officer’s job” published on March 28

Although I normally write a humor column serving light fare, occasionally I deviate (especially since the fire) and write more serious columns. Sometimes I might confuse my readers as to my intent, and this was certainly the case based upon Tony Lynn’s letter to the editor in response to my column “Poor excuse,” in which he accuses me of being stupid, arrogant and insensitive to Caltrans workers. This column was meant to be self deprecating, extremely exaggerated and certainly not to be taken literally. For what it is worth, I may have exceeded the 30 mile per hour speed limit, but rest assured there were no workers in the vicinity. In terms of any misunderstanding, I apologize for once again missing the mark.
