The City of Malibu Middle School girls volleyball team hosted a match against Our Lady of Malibu School on Sept. 25 at Malibu High School. It was the first match for both teams this season. Each game was extremely close and served as a promising season opener for both schools. OLM won the match, 2-1.
The Our Lady of Malibu team, coached by Duross O’Bryan, will play in the Catholic School League this fall and the Malibu Middle School girls team, led by Coach Amara Gwyn, will be competing in tournaments throughout Ventura County. The teams will play a rematch on October 2 at 3:30 p.m. in the MHS small gym.Â
