Mermaid Keira Lippert sparkles from head to toe as she struts down the catwalk during the costume parade.

Young Draculas and skeletons, witches and princesses, astronauts and pirates headed to Malibu Bluffs Park for the City of Malibu’s annual Halloween Carnival and Costume Parade.

Children participated in carnival games, bounce houses and checked out the “Trunk or Treat” prizes from sponsors like KBUU Radio, Roots and Wings, Monarchs Gymnastics, mOST Fun Malibu, California Wildlife Center, Murphy Museum, Advocates for Malibu Public School (AMPS) and athletes from Pepperdine University.

Those who wanted to strut their stuff lined up to model their costumes at the most highly anticipated catwalk in the City of Malibu.

D’Amore’s Pizza Food Truck made its famous pizza pies to fuel little goblins and ghouls. Families picnicked on the grass, enjoying a sunny afternoon and all the Halloween festivities.

When dusk set, the older children stayed to watch the film “The Goonies,” the second part of the city’s Halloween celebration.
