Khoi Pham visited the Malibu Rotary Club’s weekly meeting to share about his experience as one of the last helicopters to leave in the Exodus of Saigon on April 30, 1975. Pham left Saigon with his family when he was eight years old. Luckily, they all were able to leave in the same helicopter and land on the same aircraft carrier.
Pham received a bachelor’s degree from UCLA in economics and an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management. He is now the executive director of Bella Communities, which encourages low-income housing residents to join a volunteer community service program.
Malibu Rotary Club Past President Bill Wishard met Pham at LAX when the two were both waiting for a flight to Indianapolis.
