Ronald Rindge’s passion was to uncover Malibu’s history;

before he started digging, it was a mystery.

There was the Spanish explorer, Juan Cabrillo, who sailed the San Salvador 475 years ago in the past;

Ron nailed Cabrillo’s circuitous voyage up the California coast at last.

Ron wrote three books based on Cabrillo’s records, longitudes and nautical course.

He determined that the Adamson House on the Malibu Lagoon is where Cabrillo landed to ride his horse.

This was Cabrillo’s Pueblos de los Canoas or Womaliho as the Chumash called it,

The name was later shortened to “Malibu” so Hollywood starlets would like it.

Ronald came from a family that worked hard and never gave up,

His grandparents, Fredrick and May Rindge, taught him that as a pup.

The Rindges’ heart-wrenching tale to preserve Malibu’s pristine scenic beauty,

In “The King and Queen of Malibu” by David Randall is revealed absolutely.

Ronald Rindge was the last surviving grandson of Fredrick and May,

He will be fondly remembered by his family and many friends every day.
