I am a former president of Malibu Country Estates Homeowners Association, and along with my husband, Wilfred Link, I am highly troubled that the City of Malibu did not see fit to notify the individual property owners of Malibu Country Estates regarding item on its agenda, “Consider Parking Restrictions for Malibu Country Estates.”
The proposal would affect each and every street in Malibu Country Estates. There was no survey conducted by the city or the homeowners association of all 107 property owners to qualify the staff recommendation or any petition previously submitted. This item should be tabled permanently unless and until the City of Malibu conducts a survey of all owners and receives the 75% support of property owners in the impact area as stipulated by City Council Policy #45 contained on Page 61 of your staff report.
My husband and I object to this item based on improper procedure and lack of reasonable and customary notice. Without waiving the foregoing, the staff report simply does not make its case. We look forward to receiving the City of Malibu’s survey.
