[Update: 5:08 p.m.] Roads are open following an earlier closure due to a small fire in Topanga.
Topanga Canyon Boulvard was closed at Muholland Highway and at Old Topanga Road due to a small brushfire on Thursday afternoon, June 23.
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel confirmed forward progress of the fire was halted as of 2:45 p.m. Thursday, though road closures remained in effect.
Calls came in for the fire at 1:31 p.m. The fire spread to three acres before being knocked down.
“They’re just keeping an eye out for any hotspots,” sheriff’s officials said.
