I have read the letters to the editor regarding the closure on Civic Center Way. Most of the ire stemmed from the inconvenience to drivers and extra driving time. I am amazed at these letters. Hasn’t any of these writers taken into consideration the reason for the closure-the safety of children attending the two schools located at the intersection of Civic Center Way and Malibu Canyon. Of course the Z pattern is better for drivers but not in the best interest of children. Like any other change, it takes time to adapt and in time we will.
