The Harry Barovsky Memorial Youth Commission will host its third annual Teen Film Festival on Jan. 13, 2017, celebrating the talent of young, aspiring filmmakers from the local community.
Students from area middle and high schools will have their short films screened and judged by industry professionals. All filmmakers will be rewarded for their hard work with an awards ceremony, and a dessert reception will conclude the event.
Participating sponsors include Relativity Media School of Film, Media and Performing Arts and Art Center College of Design, and Saturday High.
Tickets for admission are $5 and will be sold at the door. The event will take place at 6 p.m. in the Malibu Civic Theater, 23825 Stuart Ranch Road.
