Deputies are responding to a vehicle collision that has caused a hillside fire on Kanan Road, approximately two miles north of Pacific Coast Highway, according to Dept. Lewey with the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s station.
A vehicle reportedly drove into a pole on Kanan around 3:40 p.m., which then sparked a fire that is currently burning on the hillside.
“The vehicle crashed into a pole and caught on fire,” Lewey said.
No injuries are currently being reported.
The accident occurred “near the tunnel,” according to watch commander, Sgt. Tui Wright. “There was a reported vehicle versus a telephone pole. Battalion fire is on scene.”
