Brisk and sunny weather is in the forecast for Easter weekend in Malibu, according to the National Weather Service

High temperatures on Saturday and Sunday will reach around 64 degrees, with light winds predicted to reach 5 mph.

Patchy fog is expected early on Easter Sunday morning, with sunshine breaking through the clouds around 11 a.m. 

Weekend low temperatures will stay around 58 degrees, with similar weather patterns expected on Monday.

On Saturday, April 4, Bank of Books hosts author Ali Rossi to read her new children’s book “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!” at 10:30 a.m., Kathy “Gidget” Kohner Zuckerman will be signing her book until 3:30 p.m. and Sandra Knapp will host Poetry Afternoon at 4 p.m. followed by an open-mic session.

Also on Saturday, Vintage Grocers will have a children’s egg hunt and crafts table beginning at 12 p.m. Adult’s can join in the fun with a special egg hunt, complete with in-store discounted items and sales.

Easter Sunday

The Malibu United Methodist Church hosts a special sunrise service at Zuma Beach at 6:30 a.m., followed by a children’s egg hunt and coffee at 9:45 a.m. and a worship service at 10:30 a.m. 

St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church will host two Easter Sunday services at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., and an Easter egg hunt for children at 11:15 a.m.

Enjoy an Easter sermon and string quartet at Malibu Christian Science Church beginning at 10 a.m.
