Ventura county road crews may need to use dynamite to blast huge rocks away from Yerba Buena Road … above P C H.
Helicopter video shot by channel 7 yesterday shows that one lane of the road has been restored … sort of.
A couple of rocks larger than an SUV remain in the way.
The road remains closed to through traffic … although residents can get through the construction barriers at times.
Full opening of Yerba Buena Road is not expected until next Sunday or Monday.

Most Malibu residents …. It is safe to say … have never set foot on Metro bus 534.
But the Pacific coast highway bus service fulfills a vital service for many workers in Malibu … not to mention some students and people who simply choose not to drive.
Bus line 534 has more than 30 trips up and down PCH every day.
Metro has never promoted the bus in Malibu … and it is safe to say many residents only view it as an inconvenience blocking traffic.
Next week … Metro is holding a public workshop to get community input on bus service,
It is undertaking what it calls a “NextGen Bus Study” about future bus service in Malibu and throughout the region.
LA County’s bus network carries over 70% of Metro’s riders, but hasn’t had a significant update in 25 years.
Metro is currently designing an updated modern bus network that is more relevant, reflective of, and attractive to the residents of LA County.
The workshop is next Tuesday evening … at Malibu City Hall.
Community members are encouraged to drop-in anytime between 6-7:30 PM and share suggestions to improve the bus system including bus routes, frequencies, days and times of operation.
