Decision is simple

What appeared to be a no-brainer has become a case for the Supreme Court to decide. How can the city get hung up on the Farmer’s Market issue? The pioneering organization, Cornucopia, has suffered through years of red tape but persevered by complying with all the required paperwork and submitting on time.

Cornucopia is non-profit, neighborly and flexible when it comes to vendors who are having sales problems. I am familiar with Cornucopia because, as a local grower, I sold my organics there. Also I volunteered at their environmental center and saw how happy the kids were to learn about and work with plants.

So why do we need an outsider, for profit, chain market operator who drags its feet on compliance forms? How neighborly can they be?
