My heart broke when I read last week that our only movie theater is closing. It has been such a staple for my family over the years.
My son, who is now about to go off to college, spent many days at the movies with his friends growing up. So many Saturday night dinners at Taverna Tony with my husband, followed by a movie and some Goober candy and Red Vines for dessert.
The idea that we will now have to drive to Santa Monica or Calabasas just to go to the movies is sad and discouraging.
How do we fix this?
