Actor Tasha Ames, who played the role of Izzy in Malibu Stage Repertory’s production of “Rabbit Hole” last year, was nominated for an Ovation Award by L.A. Stage Alliance.
The awards ceremony took place Monday in Redondo Beach before this paper went to print.
The sold-out play was directed and produced by Malibu resident Graeme Clifford and also starred Malibu actress Katharine Ross.
This is the first time the Malibu Stage Repertory has received a nomination in an acting category for these awards, and it is also the first nomination for Ames.
The Ovation Awards exist to celebrate artistic excellence in theater production, design and performance and to bring attention to the theatre community on a local, state and national level.
