A surfing competition to fundraise for medical supplies and equipment along with community enrichment in Eastern Indonesia will begin on Friday, Sept. 5 at Surfrider Beach in Malibu.
SurfAid Cup Malibu will bring locals and surfing legends together in support of improving the health and well-being of people living in isolated regions, according to their mission statement.
A welcome ride at SoulCycle will kick-off the weekends events on Friday, followed by an “expression session” in the water at Surfrider Beach.
A silent auction and raffle are scheduled for Friday evening at Duke’s Malibu, with all proceeds benefitting the foundation.
Saturday’s surfing session begins at 1 p.m. where teams of four will compete for the cup and chances to win titles and prizes.
Casa Escobar will host the SurfAid Cup Malibu after-party at 6 p.m. with food, drinks and music.
