In response to the letter from Sept. 4, “Kanan Safety”—the suggestions mentioned by Christopher Carradine all make a lot of sense. I would like to add one: the signs should also be in Spanish. My contractor actually suggested this addition years ago, and I think he is correct. It’s a cheap way to possibly save very expensive problems.
Regardless of political correctness or beliefs, we have a lot of Spanish speaking workers coming over the hill. It would be nice if we could be sure that they understand the signs about grade, escape and brakes.
