A “firehose” of rain clouds from Hawaii is headed towards Southern California.
But that “firehose” of rain will be very narrow and the National Weather Service computers are all over the place as to where it will land.
Long Beach may get no rain.
Santa Barbara may get 4 inches.
Malibu … somewhere in the middle.
Rain may arrive Tuesday night.
Heavy rain possible Wednesday into Thursday.

Finally this morning … the first statistics are out on the results of the great Santa Monica Airport Runway Haircut.
The city of Santa Monica at Christmas shortened the runway at Santa Monica Airport to 35 hundred feet.
The number of jet takeoffs has plunged … down just under 80 percent.
But … perhaps jet setters are choosing other ways to beat the traffic over the 405.
Helicopter operations increased 41 percent in February and 33 percent in January from the prior-two-year average.
Turboprop airplanes … which are a cross between jets and propeller planes … their operations were up 40 percent.
Overall … takeoffs and landings were about the same in February.
The city chopped the runway short last December … to get rid of corporate jets.
Santa Monica plans to close its airport altogether by the end of 2028.
