Six members of the Golddiggers, a female entertainment group featured on the award-winning Dean Martin Show in the 1960s and 1970s, have reunited for five performances from Aug. 6-9 at El Portal Theater in North Hollywood.
The six include Sheila Allan, Suzy Cadham, Jackie Chidsey, Susie Ewing, Rosie Cox Gitlin and Nancy Sinclair, who have (since the show ended in 1972) married, raised families and pursued their own separate lives.
The Golddiggers have traveled the world, twice entertained at the White House, performed at the Emmy Awards in 1971, recorded hit albums and worked with most of televisions major stars in the 1970s, as well as their television show for three years.
The show, coproduced by Malibu tap teacher Joe Giamalva, will also feature Ronnie Sperling and Jerry Hauck, in-house comics at the Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Tickets and more information may be obtained by calling 818.508.4200.
