As part of the Teaching Garden program to combine the elements of gardening, nutrition, exercise and community service, Point Dume Marine Science Elementary School fifth-graders recently traveled to Figueroa Street Elementary School to build garden boxes and prepare their garden beds. It is part of the school’s overall environmental and community service program to support people and the environment.
