City announces youth art show winners

The City of Malibu has announced the winners from its Malibu Student Art Show Feb. 2-3 at Bluffs Park’s Michael Landon Center. The artwork was judged by the Malibu Arts Association co-presidents and each entry was based on grade level.

For kindergarten through second grade, Kaelin Schetter won first place, Nikita Polinger earned second place and Pierce Schetter came in third.

In grades three to five, Chase Schetter was awarded first place, second place went to Zoe Nathan and Lucy Thrall earned third, while an honorable mention went to Waylon Barish.

In the sixth- through eighth-grade age category, Declan Bates received first place, Ali Rezvan second, with Mia Ross third place and an honorable mention for Cedric Holloran.

For ninth to 12th grade, first place was awarded to Emma Gallagher, Frankie Seely earned second place, Molly Gallagher placed third and an honorable mention went to Nick Anthony.
