Authorities transported one of two victims in an ambulance from the scene. The other was airlifted to UCLA Medical Center in Westwood.

Two people were injured Thursday night in a two-car accident at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Rambla Pacifico Street. The extent of their injuries is unknown, according to L.A. County Sheriffs who responded at the scene at approximately 6:15 p.m.

One victim was airlifted and the other victim, a female adult, was transported in an ambulance to UCLA Medical Center in Westwood.

The cars collided as one was in the northbound left-turn lane on PCH at Rambla Pacifico and the other car was headed southbound, striking the passenger’s side of the northbound car. The northbound car may have been attempting to turn left into the 76 gas station at the intersection.

Deputies said a possible third car may have clipped both cars after the initial collision and fled the scene.

Traffic was stopped on the southbound side as authorities gathered evidence and cleared the collision.
