A coordinated effort by Malibu Search and Rescue and L.A. County Fire Air Ops rescued three stranded hikers near Trancas Canyon in Malibu on the evening of Sunday, Sept. 13.
The rescue involved an LA Co Fire helicopter, which used a hoist to pull the hikers from the canyon.
So far this year, Malibu Search and Rescue has responded to around 100 rescue calls, already exceeding last year’s total of 97.
