As a resident of Malibu I am writing you to comment on the extremely bad taste of Dorothy Lucey gloating and giggling on FOX 11 morning news how she schmoozed and sweet talked her way through the road block in Malibu to get to work in West Los Angeles and also back home. Her neighbors and I also work and have important positions and work for companies in various parts of West Los Angeles and Santa Monica and elsewhere. It took me three and a half hours to get to work in West Los Angeles and three and a half hours to get home via 101 to 405 to Kanan back into Carbon Beach for the past three days and has been that way for many of our neighbors (including our mayor).
We were not allowed through and when we questioned the CHP roadblock officers and Caltrans officials as to why she was allowed through, they commented that she was a news broadcaster. What a joke! She is not a news broadcaster but a gossip monger and an entertainment reporter who has the very nerve to sit there and tell dirty stories and insult people who actually are her neighbors. At least Jean, who is also a neighbor, had the good sense to keep her mouth shut until Miss Lucey started in on how she received special treatment. So then Jean had to comment how she got through also. Well at least she is a news broadcaster but still very insensitive. Jean, best to have stayed quiet. If you were so truly Christian like you say and look, with all your crosses you wear, you would have been more sensitive of the horrible position all of us who live in Malibu are in when the hillsides come down. Businesses are closed, local merchants are devastated, hospitals and doctors are hours away but Dorothy Lucey got through to dish dirt on Fox 11 TV.
