Weekend weather update: Sunny start to summer in Malibu

It’s the first weekend of summer, and The Weather Channel has forecast warm, mostly-sunny weather in Malibu to kick off the season.

The expected high for Friday is 77, remaining mostly clear through the evening. The sun will set around 8:10 p.m. 

Saturday is forecast to be a clear, sunny day with an expected high of 76 and low of 62. It’s expected to stay clear and warm throughout the evening, cooling down to high 60s later in the night.

Sunday is expected to be partly cloudy in the early morning, with the clouds burning off by late morning for another clear and sunny day. There is an expected high of 73. Sunday night is expected to be mostly cloudy, with a low of 63.

Don’t miss the supermoon on Sunday night, when the moon makes its closest approach to earth until August 2014, according to Farmer’s Almanac. The full moon will appear about 14 percent larger and 30 percent brighter than usual, according to The Weather Channel.
