the details
Getting caught is the mother of invention. Once again, Editor York your editorial in the June 22, 2006 “Malibu Times” puts our Malibu weekly tabloid in the forefront of national politics (as if anyone cared).
The Bush administration did a fabulous job of defining the left before they could define themselves during the previous election. When it comes to the war on terror, they are losing that important part of the battle. Editors like you are giving the radical left free reign to distort, shame, and smear virtually every single aspect of the war on terror, even our troops defending freedom abroad. If we do that, eventually, we’ll end up being unable to extract information from captured terrorists, shamed into letting the terrorists we are holding go free, and unable to track terrorists.
Editor York, you need to sit down, break your pencil, and let us win the war. Neither you nor I are talented enough to prevail over the existing conditions in the Middle East, today and I have no intention of throwing eggs at an administration that has relieved nations of people of human suffering and established political freedom, both by the way, are liberal causes.
A concise reconsideration of the history of the presidencies of both President James Madison and Abraham Lincoln will show the reader that the same “devils in the details” have always existed in American Politics because of our freedoms. And that is all I have to say.
