In your farmer’s market story of March 22, the story states that Jeanne Yamamoto and Cameron Losey “are in charge of setting up the annual Chumash Day celebration.” This is an error. The event chairperson for the event is and has been Francine Greene, a Native American who is the past chair of the Native American Cultural Resources Advisory Committee of the City of Malibu (NACRAC) and who created the Chumash Day event nine years ago and secured the city proclamation creating Chumash Day.
Jeanne and Cameron are volunteer members of NACRAC and have been vendors at the Chumash Day event.
