A member of Malibu Senior Center, Iona Blackwell, will run her first half marathon at the upcoming Malibu Half Marathon on Nov. 5. Blackwell, 79, will be joined by Alberto Perusset (“Barefoot Perusset” and one of the founders of the Malibu race) and others.
Blackwell trains weekly on Saturdays with the L.A. Leggers in Santa Monica.
